Holiday 2010 Photography

August 21, 2010

So today we may break a temperature record here in Colorado.  Suppose to hit mid-90s today, especially hard to believe with a Broncos preseason game tonight!  It makes it even harder to think about the holidays too, I don’t think any of you would bat an eye if we were all wearing sweaters.  But it is true, I’ve started booking for the holidays – holiday photography takes place in October and November andI only have four Saturday dates left and a couple more Sunday dates.  The photography deadline this year is November 21st, the ordering deadline is December 1st – no exceptions!  Sorry folks.  I have to turn people away every year, I don’t want to but I just run out of time.

This year’s holiday special is extra unique.  I am including digital files, something I don’t normally do and something I will only offer at the holidays.  In addition to 50 custom made holiday cards you get to pick 10 of your images to be printed on a custom designed CD with matching custom designed case.  This is the perfect way to print your own copies, scrapbook your images, and archive forever.

I’m offering this package at over a 50% savings and the price does include your sitting fee!  In addition, book and pay the nonrefundable deposit ($150) by August 31st and get all your images set to music on a CD as well!  A $150 value!

But what’s more?  For my clients who purchase the holiday special I am offering four products at a special price!!!!

Purchase more cards, get a portrait ornament, get a set of 3 wallet albums (keep one for yourself and give two away as gifts!) or get the rest of the images from your sitting on CD!!!

I love repeat clients!  It was so much fun to see how these two little girls have grown from last year!  And they are so incredibly sweet with each other, almost makes me want to give my daughter a sister – almost.

I have photographed this guy for a couple of years now.  He has won photo contests I have done and with those eyes who is surprised?  This year this little guy seemed so happy just golfing away, I loved capturing his swing!!!!!!!

Christmas in July?

July 28, 2010

First and foremost, I have been a bad blogger lately.  It is not for lack of things to blog, in fact it is the exact opposite, I have been so busy I have been devoting all my time to my customers, previews, ordering, etc.  So to those of you who follow my blog you have my apologies.

Secondly, this year is booking up crazy fast.  All Saturdays are booked solid now through the first weekend in October.  Most Sundays are too.  I have also started booking for the holidays, crazy huh?  My holiday sittings typically run October 1st through the weekend before Thanksgiving.  I haven’t even decided what is going in my holiday package and people are already booking it!

So here’s the thing, every year I get emails at the end of October or in November, sometimes even December wanting a holiday and by that time I am booked solid, I just cannot take on another client, I don’t have the time to.  And it breaks my heart to turn people away but I have to.  So if you want a holiday sitting contact me now, don’t wait until costumes are in the stores for Halloween, get it on the calendar, mark it off your to-do list and move on to something else, like painting your ceiling :)   or are you a senior wanting to book your senior pictures?  Now is the time to get them on the calendar!  Want to book?  You can Contact me here!

And because I cannot leave you without anything to look at here is my awesome DC rep Ali!

Hey class of 2011 – I am now booking senior portraits!  Senior portraits with me include up to three locations of your choice, unlimited clothing changes and lots of fun!  We usually spend about 2 hours together driving around, taking pictures, just laughing and talking.  I like the sitting to feel laid back, no reason to be nervous that you’re in front of the camera.

These are all about you.  Your unique style and personality.  Contact me today, now booking August dates!

Wardrobe Wednesday

July 21, 2010

One of the most popular questions I get is “what should we wear to our sitting with you?” I encourage you to let your own style and flare come out. Below is an example of how I would dress my family if we were to have a family sitting tomorrow or this fall sometime. By no means do I think you should go out and buy exactly this but hopefully it will provide you with some ideas as you plan your sitting!

The Dad and girl outfits both came from Gap, Mom’s and all accessories came from Mod Cloth and the boy’s came from the Children’s place.

This adorable family asked me to come and photograph their son’s First Communion.  It was such a joy to be invited to participate in such a special event in a young man’s life!
