Christmas in July?

July 28, 2010

First and foremost, I have been a bad blogger lately.  It is not for lack of things to blog, in fact it is the exact opposite, I have been so busy I have been devoting all my time to my customers, previews, ordering, etc.  So to those of you who follow my blog you have my apologies.

Secondly, this year is booking up crazy fast.  All Saturdays are booked solid now through the first weekend in October.  Most Sundays are too.  I have also started booking for the holidays, crazy huh?  My holiday sittings typically run October 1st through the weekend before Thanksgiving.  I haven’t even decided what is going in my holiday package and people are already booking it!

So here’s the thing, every year I get emails at the end of October or in November, sometimes even December wanting a holiday and by that time I am booked solid, I just cannot take on another client, I don’t have the time to.  And it breaks my heart to turn people away but I have to.  So if you want a holiday sitting contact me now, don’t wait until costumes are in the stores for Halloween, get it on the calendar, mark it off your to-do list and move on to something else, like painting your ceiling :)   or are you a senior wanting to book your senior pictures?  Now is the time to get them on the calendar!  Want to book?  You can Contact me here!

And because I cannot leave you without anything to look at here is my awesome DC rep Ali!

Hey class of 2011 – I am now booking senior portraits!  Senior portraits with me include up to three locations of your choice, unlimited clothing changes and lots of fun!  We usually spend about 2 hours together driving around, taking pictures, just laughing and talking.  I like the sitting to feel laid back, no reason to be nervous that you’re in front of the camera.

These are all about you.  Your unique style and personality.  Contact me today, now booking August dates!

One of the most popular questions I get is “what should we wear to our sitting with you?” I encourage you to let your own style and flare come out. Below is an example of how I would dress my family if we were to have a family sitting tomorrow or this fall sometime. By no means do I think you should go out and buy exactly this but hopefully it will provide you with some ideas as you plan your sitting!

The Dad and girl outfits both came from Gap, Mom’s and all accessories came from Mod Cloth and the boy’s came from the Children’s place.

Clare was so much to work with!  She had just returned from two weeks overseas and I loved hearing her tales as we shot.  She also has some pretty fun aspirations on where she wants to go to college.
