When I edit I can hear the behind-the-scenes laughter that took place between siblings or mom and dad.

It's catching a father choke up while walking his daughter down the aisle; or trying to get the words out during a reception toast. It's capturing the instant love of parents when holding their newborn baby. Or the hugs from a brother and sister during a holiday shoot. It's quietly snapping the pride a parent has during their child's senior photo.

Capturing the moments between the images is what makes professional portrait photography real. It's the eye roll of the teenager when her mom says fix your hair; the whatever, Dad moments. It's those moments that make my job so special.

Creating images that trigger your emotions, whether it's a laugh, tears or a simple smile, is what drives my passion as a professional photographer.
